Dear Prospective BA 401 Student:

Here’s what you need to know about BA 401 before you enroll.

What are the pre-requisites for BA 401?

You must:
1. have an internship that takes place during the Fall 2008 semester
2. be an upper division (declared) business major

Although you need to get their internship on your own, the Aztec Business Alliance webpage contains many internship options: http://aba.sdsu.edu/internships_listing.html

Also check Career Services: http://career.sdsu.edu

Once I fulfill the pre-requisites, how can I get a schedule number and add code?

First, get a letter from your internship supervisor on company letterhead that includes:
1. Your supervisor’s name, title, and contact information;
2. A statement from your supervisor that briefly describes your role and duties and the number of hours you’re working at the internship.

Second, during the first week of classes for Fall 2008, bring the letter to the College of Business Administration Internship Office located in Education and Business room 451 (EBA 451).

Once we review your letter and approve the internship, we will assign you a schedule number and add code.

How will I be graded in this class?

The course is graded on a credit/no credit basis and you will be evaluated based on the completion of class assignments.

The assignments for this class will be unique—and valuable—for two reasons:
1. They will be related to your internship experience;
2. They will provide you with powerful professional skills that you will use both during your internship and beyond.

The assignments are not finalized yet; the syllabus will be finalized before the first week of classes for Fall 2008.
